OUR COACHES

Karen Brooks

Karen is doing her best to check off every square on the “Bike-Related Job” bingo card — shop rat, wordsmith, advocating, consulting, you name it — but by far the most rewarding part of her varied career is teaching. She is certified through BICP (Level 2) and PMBIA (Level 2) to teach mountain bike skills, and through the League of American Bicyclists to teach safe riding on the street. Karen can work with mountain bikers who want to get smoother and faster on the trail and who want to explore the fun of riding features at The Wheel Mill.

Harry Geyer

Since opening The Wheel Mill in 2013 I’ve had the opportunity to watch and learn from some of the best riders in the world, not only to help me with my own mountain bike skills, but also to help hundreds of other riders learn that there is actually a method to the madness of trail and park riding. Seeing that moment when a student realizes that they can be in control of their riding without relying on luck or bravado gives me the greatest sense of accomplishment.

Harry is a PMBIA Level 2 certified mountain bike instructor. He teaches riders of all levels including those looking to get their wheels off the ground through bunny hops, drops, and jumps.
